Fall Porch Tour 2013 ~ Simple Abundance

Growing up we had a large front porch with a roof....I would sit out there and watch the rain, the snow or have some shade from the sun...it was one of my favorite places to be.  When I bought my house, it had a concrete slab for a front porch.  My Daddy built a small porch out front for me.  He made matching window boxes and I loved that I could go stand out there and admire my flowers or watch my little guy {I only had one at the time} play in the front yard with my little pooch.  A lot has changed since then.  This past summer that first little guy and I demolished part of that original porch and did some revamping.  The porch is still as small as a postage stamp but I love it.

Since the area is so small, I had to keep it simple ~ when I found this sign, Simple Abundance ~ I knew I had the inspiration for my Fall Porch.

I placed this sign below my wreath ~ I added a burlap bow to the top of the wreath and some corduroy acorns in the center.

I wanted the door to stand out a bit so I edged it in burlap as well with two orange-toned autumn floral vines on top of that.

To the left of the door is a black chair with a wooden seat ~ the black helps to complement the door and shutters.  On top of the chair I placed a fresh pumpkin and some dried flower pods from the yard.

In the corner behind the chair sits a wooden plant stand that was my Grandma's ~ perched atop that is a small Dahlia plant with a mini scarecrow just waiting to welcome guests.

There's a table next to that in the corner of the porch that I covered with a small square of burlap {keeping with the simple abundance theme}.  On top of that I placed a wire basket filled with pinecones from my yard that my little guy collected for me.

There's also a twig pumpkin and an owl that can hold a candle for a spooky nighttime lightup.

You don't have to spend much to pull together a welcoming Autumn Porch....look around your yard for some dried elements and don't forget to check your house for some seasonal items that can easily be used outside.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my Fall Porch Tour.  I am so happy that I get to share this tour with the lovely bloggers below.  Check out all the links for more Autumn Porch Inspiration.
