I needed to wrap a CD to give as a gift.  Rather than tissue paper and a bag {which I love to use....60 seconds and you are good to go!} I felt a little more creative today.  It is my sister's birthday so I wanted the wrapping to be special.  I used kraft paper, rub-ons {sister and crown ~ the crown was left over from my Dollar Store Princess frame}, some ephemera that was all packaged together and on clearance from Michael's {the dog is exactly like a stuffed one she had as a toddler}, a cupcake rubber stamp in pink {of course}, and a ribbon that said blessings {left over from a frame I did for my youngest when he was born.

The kraft paper is much heavier than regular wrapping paper so I wanted to plan my layout in advance noting where the CD would be and then just pressing the shape into the paper {I hope that makes sense}.

I placed my decorations in the area that would be the top/front of the wrap, used some scrapbook glue to hold it in place, sewed on some of the paper decor and rubbed on the others and that was it!

This paper will not hold with regular tape so I had to use some washi tape which added to the cuteness on the back.

hugs, mb
