The 20 Second Trick to Soften Rock Hard Brown Sugar

When you're ready to do some baking but the brown sugar is hard as a rock....don't throw it away...do this FIRST! 

Supplies:

Lumpy Brown Sugar Glass microwave safe container with lid or plate to cover paper towels

Take a plain white paper towel and wet with cold water. Wring it out well. 

Place the paper towel loosely on top of the brown sugar.

Cover with lid and microwave for 20 seconds.

Remove from microwave and stir. Repeat as necessary.
