Easy Creamy Stovetop White Chicken Chili

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts cubed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 14 ounce box of chicken broth
  • 2 15.8 ounce cans Great Northern Beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 8 ounce container sour cream
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • shredded Colby Jack Cheese to garnish


  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
    Add chicken and saute until done. Set aside.
    Add more oil if necessary and saute onions until translucent. Set aside.
    In a large pot combine chicken broth, beans, and seasonings and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
    Add chicken mixture, reduce heat and gently simmer for 30 minutes.
    Add sour cream and whipping cream stirring well to combine.
    Serve! You can also add a garnish of shredded Colby Jack cheese if desired.
