Best Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Place rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking silicone mat.
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
    2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • Using a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
    2 sticks unsalted butter, 1 cup light brown sugar, ½ cup granulated sugar
  • Add the eggs and beat until blended.

  • Add vanilla and beat until well blended.
    2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Add the dry ingredients and beat on medium speed just until the mixture is incorporated then turn the mixer to high speed for a few seconds.
  • Gently fold in chocolate chips.
    2 cups chocolate chips
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto the lined baking sheet and bake until slightly browned on top, 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Cool on pan on a wire rack for 1 minute then transfer to rack to cool completely.
