Equipment

Ingredients

Strawberry Syrup Puree

  • 1 pint Strawberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 tsp. sugar optional

Homemade French Toast

Instructions

For the Syrup Puree

  • Puree the berries along with the sugar (optional) in a blender or Ninja bullet. Set aside.

For the French Toast

  • Whish together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
  • Thoroughly soak bread in the egg mixture.
  • Heat butter in skillet until melted. A cast iron skillet is my preferred skillet for frying.
  • Add soaked bread to the skillet. Flip with a spatula once it is golden brown and cook on the other side until browned and cooked through.
  • Serve with the strawberry syrup and sprinkle with powdered sugar using a dusting wand if desired. Garnish with fresh strawberries.
