How To Make Hand Sanitizer

It's easy to make your own hand sanitizer per the CDC guidelines with two ingredients in just a few minutes. An easy and inexpensive option when needed.

Equipment

  • Empty hand soap bottle or small container to carry with you

Supplies

  • cup rubbing alcohol that is at least 90% alcohol
  • cup aloe vera gel available at most drug stores or vitamin shops

Instructions

  • Measure out ⅔ cup of rubbing alcohol.
  • Add ⅓ cup aloe vera gel.
  • Stir well.
  • Use funnel to add to containers of choice.
  • Shake well and you're ready to go. You may need to shake the mixture again every so often if it starts to separate.

Notes

The important thing to remember is that the hand sanitizer MUST BE at least 60% alcohol per CDC Guidelines.
