Graham Crackers - name brand ones are preferred as they are sturdier and will be less likely to break while making the houses
Frosting - I used a small container of Pillsbury white frosting and it worked perfectly
PEEPS - one package of PEEPS
Grass for PEEPS' nests - I found edible grass at Walmart BUT if I were to make these again I would probably opt for standard grass as this cracked and was hard to manipulate into shape
Jelly beans or other small candies
Instructions
Break each whole graham cracker in half. You will need 6 halves for each PEEPS house.
Assemble houses on wax paper or a cookie sheet.
Glue the walls to the floor using icing. (refer to photos in main area of post).
Glue two halves together to form the roof, again using icing to join the pieces together.
Allow the walls and the roof to dry separately for approximately one hour.
After roof and wall pieces have dried, attach roof to walls.
Insert grass and PEEP in each house and decorate as desired.
Notes
Have fun! These will in all likelihood not be perfect and that's okay. If you have a little one around, grab them to make these with. They will have so much fun and the memories will be priceless! If you have a big one around, grab them too, and make some memories. Eat the finished houses or use as Easter decor. How cute would it be to use these as dinner place cards?
