Cube the ham into 1 to 1 ½ inch pieces and place on the bottom of a 6 quart crock pot.
3 pound Ham
Next, cut the cabbage into wedges and layer on top of the ham.
1 head green cabbage
Peel and cube potatoes and layer on top of the cabbage.
2 pounds potatoes
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper
Cover the ham, cabbage, and potatoes with water about 1 inch above the top of the potatoes.
Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours until the cabbage and potatoes are tender.
