Ingredients

  • 2 bags of microwave popcorn
  • 1 12- ounce bag of white chocolate chips
  • One container of holiday sprinkles
  • One container of heart-shaped chocolate covered pretzels - this is totally optional. You can substitute any candy you would like but if you want to use the pretzels the ones I used are Palmer brand and are from Dollar General

Instructions

  • Microwave the popcorn and place it in a single layer on a nonstick cookie sheet after it has popped. If you do not have a nonstick cookie sheet place parchment paper on the cookie sheet first to prevent sticking.
  • Place white chocolate in a microwave-safe container. I like to use a glass measuring cup but any good quality shallow-ish glass bowl will work. Microwave for 30 seconds, remove and stir. Continue microwaving for 10 to 15-second intervals until the chocolate is melted.
  • You'll need to act quickly at this point and cover the popcorn with the melted chocolate. While the chocolate is still sticky, shake on the sprinkles.
  • Now, toss the popcorn to mix in the white chocolate and sprinkles.
  • Once the popcorn has dried place into a tub or serving container. I used tubs I found at Walmart and I believe there were less than a dollar each.
  • If you'll be taking this to a party, wrap it in cellophane and tie with a bow.
