Skillet Peach Cobbler

Learn how to make a delicious and easy fresh peach cobbler in a cast iron skillet on the stovetop. This recipe is perfect for summertime dessert!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sliced peaches
  • c. sugar divided
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. biscuit mix
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • cup milk

Instructions

  • Combine peaches and ⅓ cup sugar.
    3 cups sliced peaches, ⅔ c. sugar
  • Add water to make 4 ½ cups.
  • Melt butter in a cast iron or heavy skillet. Add peach mixture, butter and lemon juice
    4 tbsp. butter, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 2 tbsp. butter
  • Cover and cook over medium heat until simmering.
  • Combine biscuit mix and ⅓ cup sugar. Cut in 2 tbsp. butter to coarse crumbs. Add milk to make soft dough.
    1 c. biscuit mix, ⅓ cup milk, ⅔ c. sugar
  • Spoon over hot fruit. Cover and cook on stovetop until dough is done, about 12-15 minutes.
