Combine peaches and ⅓ cup sugar.
3 cups sliced peaches, ⅔ c. sugar
Add water to make 4 ½ cups.
Melt butter in a cast iron or heavy skillet. Add peach mixture, butter and lemon juice
4 tbsp. butter, 1 tsp. lemon juice, 2 tbsp. butter
Cover and cook over medium heat until simmering.
Combine biscuit mix and ⅓ cup sugar. Cut in 2 tbsp. butter to coarse crumbs. Add milk to make soft dough.
1 c. biscuit mix, ⅓ cup milk, ⅔ c. sugar
Spoon over hot fruit. Cover and cook on stovetop until dough is done, about 12-15 minutes.
