DIY Hanging Jewelry Organizer
DIY Jewelry Wall Organizer
If you're looking for an easy way to organize your jewelry and one that won't take up a lot of space this is an awesome solution for your organizing needs {you can use this in the kitchen as well!}. This took less than 30 minutes to make {not counting drying time for the stain}.
Last year when I went through a cleaning, organizing and decluttering binge I gave away the majority of my jewelry and also my large jewelry box. I kept a few pieces and I don't like having them tucked away in drawers so this is a nice alternative. I can see what I have at a glance, wear it and then easily put it back - nice, neat and tidy!
Supplies:
Wooden Frame - you can use one you already have or buy a new one - I bought a 7.5 inch x 9.5 inch wooden frame by Darice
M-D Metal Sheet - large enough size to fit in frame
MD S-Hooks - When buying the hooks to fit your metal sheet you need a smaller hook. I found the ones I used at my local craft store {Pat Catan's)
Hobby and Craft Tin Snips Stain or Paint in color of your choice - I used Minwax Wood Finish in Red Chestnut 232
Paint brush and rag to remove stain
Measure opening of frame from back.Cut metal sheet to size using tin snips {use caution}
Paint or stain frame and allow to dry.
Insert metal sheet to back of frame and hold in place.
Hang frame inserting hooks as needed to hang necklaces, bracelets, etc. {Instructions for making the Gold-Dipped Feather Earrings can be found here and instructions for the Joanna Gaines inspired Leather Dangle Drop Earrings can be found here.}
I really like how versatile it is - I also have used it in the kitchen to organize
You are so clever! I have seen metal sheets like these at the craft store and I wondered how I might use them. Now I know!!!
Mary Beth, I love your little tag, "crafting with Cupcakes and Crinoline!!"
Thank you so much, Diane, and thanks for noticing the tag! <3
