Dollar Store Victorian-Style Halloween Picture
Victorian-Style Halloween Picture
When I was creating my Halloween vignette this year I wanted something to anchor the look. It had to be inexpensive to make and something I could do with what I had on hand.
I grabbed my Grandparent's framed wedding photo to use as the base and then added a page I printed out from the Graphics Fairy and a Black Paper Owl from Dollar Tree.
I'm not sure if the owl is still available from Dollar Tree or not - they came in a package of multiples (10 maybe???) but just in case you need it and can't find one or don't have a Dollar Tree close by I scanned one and you can download it right here - print it on some heavyweight paper and then cut it out.
While you're by your printer, stop by the Graphics Fairy to print out this dictionary page - this will be what pulls the whole look together.
Once you have your owl ready and your dictionary page printed out, gather your frame and some double-sided tape.
Tape the dictionary page to the center of your frame then tape the owl on top of that and that's it.
I really love how it turned out, spooky with a Victorian feel to it and after Halloween I can take the paper and owl off of the frame and have my Grandparent's wedding photo back.
That is so cool! I love dollar store decorating!
Thank you so much, Raquel!
Cool Halloween decoration and a really sweet idea.
Thank you, Claire!
Is there a link to print the owl?
Hi Vickie - I'm sorry about the missing link - I corrected the post but here it is so you don't have to search: https://cupcakesandcrinoline.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Halloween-Owl.jpg
