Last Minute Halloween Treat Bags
I'm always looking for last minute ideas regardless of the holiday or celebration - I am known in some circles (pointing to my family) as being a procrastinator and with little ghosts and goblins everywhere this week here is a last minute party or Halloween treat idea. The good news is you probably already have everything you need on hand.
These are also easy enough so that your little ones can help - just keep an eye on them, my two youngest sons ate almost all of the popcorn mix before we had a chance to make our treat bags.
Ingredients:
1 bag of microwave popcorn
1 cup of mini marshmallows
1 cup of white chocolate chips
Make the popcorn according to the directions on the bag. Allow to cool.
Gently toss in the mini marshmallows and the white chocolate chips.
Treat Bags:
Clear treat bags from the store - any shape is fine but if you have the bags made specifically for large cookies those will work best.
Twine or ribbon
Sharpie
Using the sharpie draw O's for ghosts (boo!) or Δ Δ for mini Jack-o-lanterns. Stuff bags and tie with twine or ribbon.
I stayed with an all white theme for the treats but you could use anything you'd like to make your treat bags special. If I make these again I'll probably add some fall-colored M&M's and chocolate chips!
