Do you ever dream of changing the look of your furniture for little money and in little time? If you do, let me show you how I totally transformed a so-so entertainment center for under $10.00 and in less than 5 minutes.
The piece of furniture I set my sights on changing was a white entertainment center from Ikea ~ it came in a box with an allen wrench and while it is an extremely practical piece, it had no pizazz whatsoever.
The knobs are brushed nickel and they go with just about everything but sometimes, you just need a little bling to make you happy.
I came across these gorgeous knobs at D. Lawless Hardware and for only a little more than $3.00 a piece I could change out all three knobs and give my entertainment center the look of a custom piece for under $10.00.
Per D. Lawless Hardware, "The cobalt blue carnival glass knob is a D. Lawless Hardware exclusive product. We spent many years in the antique glass business and the inspiration for these style of knobs came to us while walking through our "smalls" section that is filled with iridescent baskets and carnival glass.... each knob is slightly different. These iridescent knobs are each uniquely iridized & each knob will reflect and shine differently. Carnival glass has a long and interesting history in the United States. See the technical information tab for a few links to the history of and pictures of antique carnival glass."
The pictures don't do the Carnival Glass justice ~ they are so unique and the look changes with the lighting so throughout the day you get a little different glimmer and shimmer.
If Carnival Glass isn't your thing you can still find something for just about every taste at D. Lawless Hardware.
I received these knobs for free as an Official DIY Gal at The DIY Club but all opinions are 100% my own!
