Christmas Trees on Cars ~ A Simple and Fun Christmas Centerpiece

Christmas Trees on Cars ~ I did a post a few weeks ago about them and I just couldn't get enough of a good thing so today I, and seven of

my blogger friends, are doing a whole hop with that theme!

Christmas Trees on Cars Holiday Centerpiece from cupcakesandcrinoline.com
For my Christmas Tree Car I thought I would pull out the box of cars that all of my sons had played with.....ummmmm....that was a no go.  Every single car would have looked silly or it was missing a part so my oldest son went to CVS for me.

He brought home this beautiful Red Ford Mustang! I so wish it were a full size car...but then it would look really silly on top of cake plates and would have been totally inappropriate for this post because if it was real I NEVER would tie a Christmas tree to the roof.....I would barely even drive the thing!

I used baker's twine to tie the car to the roof of my mini Mustang and then began to figure out a decor to go with my Car and Tree.......

Milk Glass Bowl with Silver and White Ornaments from cupcakesandcrinoline.com

I decided to use both of my milk glass bowls and a newer cake stand and to go with a Red, Silver and White theme.....

I had my husband go outside and cut me some greens from a tree in our yard and I add those greens to the cake plate and milk glass bowls....

and added some candy canes and red bells from the dollar store......

I unwrapped some peppermint puffs *is that what they're called?* and added these to a white ramekin.....

I added some small wrapped gifts......and some more bulbs all on top of my little faux fur throw from Ikea.

and this was my youngest son's Christmas Tree on a Car......the Lego version!
