Ice Cream
For this ice cream party I baked some blue raspberry cookies from a mix. If you can't find the blue raspberry cookie mix any mix or even bakery bought sugar cookies will do. One of my goals is to make entertaining as stress-free as possible for you so choose whichever option suits you best!
I baked up the cookies (aren't they a pretty color?), rolled the dough into balls and then flattened them with a glass so that I could use them to hug some ice cream. Now doesn't that sound all warm and fuzzy?
After the cookies were baked and cooled I got ready to stuff these babies with some Old Fashioned Vanilla Frozen Custard but you can use any kind of ice cream you want....
I laid out two cookies.....
scooped some Frozen Custard (ice cream) into the center and then squished another cookie on top....
Finally, I rolled them into some sprinkles just to make them look pretty. I also scooped out some of the frozen custard into pretty bowls and topped them with sprinkles as well.
The bowls were some funky ones I found at Target and are no longer available but I found some similar ones on their site that are just as pretty as these (find them here --> assorted bowl set) and the spoons are wooden ones that I decorated myself - you can find the easy 5 minute tutorial for that right here --> 5 Minute Craft - Entertaining with Customized Cutlery
This is such an easy way to entertain even for a crowd and the presentation is simple yet colorful, cheerful, and yet sweetly simple. You really don't need much at all to bring it all together and end up with a pretty and fun result that will leave everyone smiling!
