8 Summer Home Styles to Make Your Own - Shabby Chic, French Country, Farmhouse and Vintage from cupcakesandcrinolin.ecom

Did you have a chance to follow the beautiful home tours that were part of the bHome Summer Open House Tour? There were 31 blogs in all but in case you missed it here are some snippets to inspire your own design – 8 home styles that you’ll want to make your own!

My roundup includes my top four favorite decorating styles {in no specific order}:  Shabby Chic, French Country, Vintage, and Farmhouse.

Janet from Shabby Fufu Blog

{If you have never seen Janet’s blog pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea and head over there and prepare to drool!}

Janet’s Beautiful and Airy Shabby Chic Style is evident in her summer tour.  I admire how she incorporates her style and my favorite decor colors without it being girlie or cluttered.

Courtney from French Country Cottage

The perfect combination of French Country and Shabby Chic

I’ve been a fan of Courtney’s style for years and years.  Her style is warm and inviting but, again, not cluttered and airy ~ to me that is the perfect combination for summer decorating.  I would love to spend time on this hammock and enjoy a summer day.  Her tour shows photos from both the inside of her home and the outside.  A definite must-see

Kerryanne from Shabby Art Boutique

Kerryanne is from the other side of the world (to me anyway) and shares her beautiful Australian home.  Her decor is everything Shabby Chic should be ~ textbook perfection.  She lives opposite the ocean (oh my goodness!!!) and she also very seamlessly incorporates coastal style into her home.

Bre from Rooms for Rent

Bre’s style is farmhouse {love} and her motto is, “Love the space you Live in”.  I need to learn to embrace this on a personal level ~ my home and I seem to be at odds with each other over the last few years.  You’ll love her style and her summer tour!

Kelly from Eclectically Vintage

Kelly’s style is vintage, eclectic and awesome! She shares her home on this tour….I would dare to say almost every room….all decorated in summer vintage fabulousness.  If you love vintage soda crates, thermoses, and more then be sure to stop by to see it all!

Becky from Buckets of Burlap

Becky shares her vintage farmhouse summer tour ~ you’ll love all of the details that set her home apart.  The crystal chandelier above the farmhouse table and the mirror in the fireplace are some of my favorite unexpected touches.

Susan from Love of Home

Susan’s farmhouse is circa 1890 and is simply amazing.  Her house is below {isn’t it GORGEOUS?}.  You should take a step inside to see all of the fabulous decor inspiration!

My Vintage Boho Sunroom

My sunroom is one of my favorite rooms in my home {summer months only!} ~ it’s warm and cozy and overlooks my back yard.  I’ve filled it with items that evoke memories and remind me of summers long gone by.  Right now it’s decorated in vintage boho (that’s my way of saying a mod podge of hand-me-downs) but who knows what the future holds!
