How To Make an Easy Pom Pom Garland
Easy to Make Pom Pom Garland
I am so gaga {not to be confused with Lady Gaga} over Pom Poms.
They are so cute and fuzzy and bring a smile to my face. For Christmas I wanted to make a Pom Pom Garland....but I didn't. I have seen all of the awesome tutorials on how to make them but I would need to actually MAKE them and that's something I won't do. I'll buy the yarn....I'll get out a fork {yep...you can make lovely ones with a fork ~ this was my inspiration} but then I would have my yarn wrapped around a fork, unfinished, and that would sit on my desk, my coffee table or my nightstand until I have to clean {I hate to scare company with how I really live} and everything would get placed in a ziplock bag or box and put in the garage until the spring when I attempt to clean said garage and find it and say, "what was this for????".
So, instead, I opted for this super easy, almost too easy, way to make a pom pom garland for Valentine's Day and I actually made it and hung it to my wall with washi tape and start to finish {including the hanging} it was less than 5 minutes.
Supplies:
Baker's Twine
Ready Made Pom Poms
Heavy Duty or Darning Needle
1. Determine how long you want your garland to be and cut your Baker's Twine to that length adding a few inches to allow for hanging.
2. Thread Baker's Twine through needle eye ~ this was the most challenging step for me! The twine kept separating so I had to keep wetting the ends and flattening them until I finally got it through the eye.
3. Find the center of the pom pom and pull your needle through.
4. Add as many pom poms as you want. You can string them all on at once and then adjust the spacing after you're done.
That's it!
I want to make one of these for spring/Easter, another for summer.....4th of July...birthdays....I am going to go pom pom garland crazy! or not

Very sweet Mary Beth - just like you!
I have a bit of a pom pom obsession at the moment too, my daughter went mad and made loads just before Christmas so we used them for everyone's present wrapping. Now I'm just collected lovely projects (like yours) on pinterest to see what I can do with the rest!
Great project !!
I would love you to come and share @ Craft, Create & Inspire linky party !!!

The garland turned out so cute! Love the colour combo. Great video!
This is darling Mary Beth! I'm obsessed with pom poms right now too. I think this would look so cute at Christmas on a tree or stairway greenery. Love that it's easy!
Thanks so much, Ann! I would love to have different pom pom garlands all around the house. I may make some real yarn ones for my entry way railing for the spring. If I start now MAYBE I'll get done in time.
