How-to Make a Pumpkin Vase Centerpiece
How to make a pumpkin vase centerpiece from a Dollar Store pumpkin!
Welcome to this month's Thrifty Style Team post. Be sure to head to the bottom of this post to see what the other team members are sharing!
This month I'm sharing an easy and inexpensive (thrifty) way to create a pumpkin vase centerpiece using faux pumpkins from the Dollar Tree.
Supplies
You only need a few supplies:
2 faux pumpkins from the Dollar Store
2 small glass jars - you can use baby food jars or the small glass jars from oui yogurt. I love this yogurt so I have an overabundance of these jars laying around and they fit perfectly!
Sharp knife to cut off tops of pumpkins
Water
Fresh flowers - I bought a bouquet at Aldi for only $3.99
Directions
Use the knife to follow the line on the top of the pumpkin cutting all the way through. This was a really easy process but take your time.
Gently pull off the pumpkin "lid".
Place jar in center of pumpkin.
Use sharp scissors to cut flowers to size.
Now, admire how cute these are!

Love your pumpkin centerpiece idea! I see those little pumpkins at Dollar Tree all the time and never once thought of anything cute to make with them!
Thanks so much, Pam! I bet you'd give them an awesome vintage spin if you made them.
Such a cute and thrifty idea!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much, Cindy!
This would totally have been a great addition to house my fresh fall colored dahlias last week. But they are currently deceased. Guess I should go get some more and stop at the dollar store on the way.
You could spray paint them black and then your deceased dahlias would feel right at home....just a thought. 😉

Love this Mary Beth! Thanks for the inspiration. And you know I have a bunch of those jars just waiting for a good use. xo
I am so glad you liked this idea, Diane! You have me hooked on that yogurt so I now have more than enough of those jars! xoxo
What a cute idea to put fresh flowers into those faux pumpkins! Those would be beautiful on a Thanksgiving table or just tucked around here and there during fall.
Thanks so much, Jane! They would be cute tucked around here and there. 🙂 I have moved mine around to several places. Right now, they're in the kitchen (empty) waiting for some new fresh flowers. Have a wonderful fall.
cute indeed Mary Beth!
Thank you, Laura!
