Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Everywhere - Decorating with Pumpkins for Fall

Hello friends and welcome to the bHome Fall Tour! I am so excited to have you here.  I have a few areas in my home ready for fall and a few more to go but today I wanted to share my dining room table and my home office (i.e. the corner of the living room with my desk in it) with you.

After your stop here be inspired with some absolutely amazing décor by visiting all of the other blogs {listed below} plus enter to win a $250.00 Amazon Gift Card {details below!}The first stop is my dining room table.  For the last few years, every year, I think that I will decorate in colors very French Farmhouse(My Favorite Décor Style).  This year I even bought some gray and black velvet to make some pumpkins but when I get out my bin with décor from years past I fall in love with the bold colors of autumn all over again. This little Shabby Chic Pumpkin is one of my favorite pieces to pull out every year.  I made it a few years ago {you can get the tutorial here} and it has held up well, I must say!

I decided to stay with the Farmhouse-Style tiered tray ($20 from Sam's Club) as the centerpiece of the table.  It is so easy to swap out the décor and I like the way it looks.  I added some corduroy acorns, faux Chinese Lantern vines (the color of these is so pretty) and mini pumpkins collected over the years.  I placed a candle on the top tier - the beauty of the metal is that even if the wax drips down on it, it is so easy to clean up. At the far end of the table I have a velvet pumpkin....in ORANGE! Something about this called to me and I had to have it.  Plus, it was only $6.50 at Joann Fabrics (half-price sale).  The other pumpkin is a twiggy rustic style pumpkin but I like how it looks mixed in with all of the other autumn décor and....the faux ironstone pitcher.  I like how the stark white contrasts with the other décor on the table.  I'll probably end up moving the pitcher to the kitchen and maybe even the living room as the days and weeks pass.  As I was going through my autumn décor I found the Antiqued Book Page Flowers {you can get the tutorial here} I made years ago...those were next to the faux leaves (notice the print on the leaves -the picture below shows it a bit more clearly?) and I though they would go perfectly together in the pitcher...and I think they do.

While I was getting the table all gussied up I remembered I had a Spode plate that would fit the look perfectly! I found it at the thrift store for only $1.50 and I think it is just beautiful.

Now, over to my desk.  I spend a lot of time at my desk working and I like it to be a pretty place.  It is in my living room so there's not any real options for styling an office but my little corner is special to me.  I found this cubbyhole cabinet (not sure what to call it) at Hobby Lobby for a little over $20 on clearance and had to have it.  I filled it with some faux pumpkins and gourds and plopped another velvet pumpkin in front of it on a faux berry wreath.

Coffee Filter Wreath

I even decorated my computer monitor 😉 I have a pumpkin spice screen saver (from a recipe I shared in the past).

I am not done decorating the space above my computer but up until a few days ago the space was BLANK...dull, I know. I made a coffee filter wreath and hung it above the desk, I think it adds a nice rustic look.  I need to add a ribbon or something to it but for now, it is something nice to look at along with my "THIS IS MY Happy Place" pallet décor ($3.00 from Target).
