Supplies

I purchased everything used to make these place cards (other than the paper clips) from my local Dollar Tree. I don't know if you've checked out their craft supplies lately but they have so much more than they used to and I ended up buying a lot of supplies and décor.
- floral garden mesh ribbon - I purchased two different colors but used only the lighter off-white colored one and have plenty of ribbon left for another craft or two
- stitch ribbon - one spool (just a few inches were used for this craft
- wood stems - one bag
- grass with feathers - two stems
- natural jute twine
Equipment
- glue gun - the Ryobi cordless is my favorite
- glue sticks
- wire cutters
- drill and 9/64 inch drill bit
Instructions

First, separate one faux feather and grass bundle and use wire cutters to cut each stem. I can't think of a better description for this but if you do, please let me know!

Drill a 9/64 hole into the center (or thereabouts) of each wood stem. Do not drill a hole all the way through the stem.

Do a 'dry run' and place the stem into the hole in the center of the wood stem trimming if necessary. Add a drop of hot glue to the base of the stem.

Place faux stem bundle into the wood stem.

Roll out enough mesh ribbon to wrap around the wood stem once and cut. Next, fold it into fourths.

Wrap the folded ribbon around the center of the wood stem and hold in place. You can also add a dab of glue if desired.

Make a bow with twine around the center of the mesh ribbon.

Cut a small length of stich ribbon and wrap around the base of the stem to cover any 'green' that's showing. Glue in place with a small dab of hot glue.

You can leave the wood stems as is or unfold one side of a paper clip, place it into the base. Cut pieces of paper and add name to use as place cards.

And there you have it! Super simple to make Dollar Tree Place Cards. I love the shabby chic rustic vibe....quick, easy, and cheap!
