Homemade Lemonade

There is nothing more refreshing than homemade lemonade on the lazy, hazy, dog days of summer.  This is my favorite recipe and it is so much better than store bought powdered mix.

Homemade Lemonade

4 to 6 lemons {enough to measure 1 cup of juice}

¾ cup sugar

4 cups cold water

ice cubes

1.  Squeeze fresh lemons to measure 1 cup juice.  Pour into pitcher {clear glass pitchers are the best for serving...so pretty!}

2.  Add ¾ cup sugar to juice and stir to blend.

3.  Add 4 cups cold water.  Stir well.

4.  Cut one lemon into slices to use as garnish.

5.  Fill glasses with ice and add the lemonade.

hugs and squeezes, mb
