Halloween Snacks - Googly Eyed Pretzels and Candy Dipped Oreos
Halloween Snacks ~ Googly Eyed Pretzels and Candy Dipped Oreos
If you're looking for some super cute and easy to make Halloween Snacks look no further! These taste delicious (I wasn't sure about the orange wafers but they tasted great) and they are easy enough to make with your kids. I think adding googly eyes to just about any food makes it look hilarious and a tad bit spooky. While I didn't plan it just placing the candy coating over the top two notches of the small pretzels and leaving the bottom "empty" makes the pretzels looks like ghouls albeit tasty ones.
My middle son helped me make these and it was his idea to add the 8 googly eyes to ones of the Oreos giving it the look of a spider - the only kind of spider I'll even think about touching.
Supplies:
Halloween Oreos
Small Pretzels
Make 'n Mold Candy Wafers Orange
Wilton Pumpkin Icing Decorations
Directions:Cover cookie sheet with waxed paper.
Melt candy wafers according to directions on package. Dip Oreos and pretzels into the melted wafers - partially, not fully.
Only do one of two of each at a time and add candy eyeballs or sprinkles before the candy coating hardens.
Allow to harden for 15 minutes. You may need to put this into the refrigerator to chill if the temperature in your home is on the warm side.
These are perfect for parties or to package up for Halloween treats!
