Interchangeable Gallery Wall for Kid's Artwork
Crafty Goodness and a Giveaway {scroll to the bottom for the giveaway details...it's super easy to enter!}
If you have kids in your life chances are they are always either bringing home artwork or papers from school or they're busy at home creating works of art. In either case the refrigerator can get filled up pretty quickly with all of their creativity and awesomeness. If this sounds familiar it's so easy and inexpensive to create a fully Interchangeable Gallery Wall for their artwork using Duck Tape frames.
How to Make An Interchangeable Gallery Wall for Kid's Art
This is a great craft to make with kids. My youngest son helped me out and he had a blast. He would have made 20 of these if I didn't stop him. Each "frame" takes less than 5 minutes to make. This is easy enough for even younger ones with some help with the scissors and lining up the Duck Tape but because this is for kids and by kids it does not have to be perfect.
Supplies:
Duck Tape - as many different patterns as you want!
Sheet protectors - I have hundreds of these and used to buy them in bulk but you can find them at office supply stores in packages of 10 if you don't want to overdo it.
Scissors
Measure a length of Duck Tape to go across the edge of the sheet protector with the binder holes. Cut to size and eye up approximately the halfway point of the tape (width wise) and place evenly across the edge then flip the sheet protector over, fold the Duck Tape in half and secure to the back side. (There's a video at the end that will make this step make sense).
Cover the other side and the sealed end in the same fashion. Save the side with the opening (this is where you'll be inserting your works of art) for last.
When you get to the last side, the one with the opening, place the tape on one side ONLY so that the opening isn't sealed shut (again, the video will help with this step).
That's it!
These frames are very lightweight. I attached a binder clip to the top center and then hung the frames by the clips to the wall with a simple push pin.
