Mason Jar Scent Diffuser

Burning candles is one way to add a delightful aroma to your home but another method I enjoy, and one that's all natural, is to make my own scent diffusers in mason jars.
A few years ago when I first started my blog I shared an inexpensive diffuser using a recycled jar and some wooden skewers from the dollar store. That was so easy to make and took all of about 1 minute to put together but today I'm sharing a more natural and fresh approach with you.
You can substitute other citrus fruit and herb combinations for this and you can also use essential oils rather than extracts. It's totally up to you and once you get started you'll find that you can customize a scent combination for any occasion.
For the diffuser I'm sharing today you'll need the following ingredients:
3 limes - sliced thin
Fresh thyme - several sprigs
Clear Vanilla Extract
Mint extract
Water
Mason Jar with Lid
Lay the mason jar on its side and tightly stack layers of the thyme and lime into the jar.
Add water and extracts and seal tight. Keep the jar in the refrigerator to keep it fresh. When you wish to diffuse the scent take it out of the refrigerator and remove the lid. Add water as necessary before returning to the refrigerator.
This lovely scent diffuser will last up to two weeks if refrigerated.
