Picturing Life with My HTC One #VZWBuzz
Way back in the day when smartphones were just entering the market I said goodbye to my flip phone and said hello to a whole new world. Since then I've had a few smartphones and almost 3 years ago I got my first 'advanced' {fancy schmancy} one which I had until a few weeks ago when I switched to my HTC One.
I'm not much of a texter or talker when it comes to my smart phone but I do like to use mine for taking notes i.e. grocery lists, organizing my schedule, checking my work folder { I'm an IC who works from home}, and taking pictures! I ♥ my DSLR but it is just too bulky for me to carry around all the time. That being said my HTC One is always by my side. I especially like to take impromptu pictures of my kids, especially my youngest son ~ he's a ham who has grown up with me blogging so he's used to the whole 'picture' thing.
My first pictures with my HTC One were of said ham using the distortion filters~ we had so much fun! 🙂 The pictures reminded me of when I was a kid and the Fun House Mirrors at our local amusement park.
I also like to take pictures of nature and just your average, everyday around the house things.
This is chalk we use on our chalkboard wall in an antique urn ~ I love how the colors popped and the HTC One Camera captured it perfectly.
Some Chocolate kisses~ I'm thinking of using this picture next year for some homemade Valentine's Day Cards.
Flowers on shelves....just because I like flowers {look at the intricacy of those petals!}.
And this little beauty ~ I saw this sweet ladybug on the wall in my kitchen and snapped a picture of her and then did a super close up~ I couldn't believe the detail it captured.
I cropped it and souped her up a bit for instagram and really like this 'after'.
The HTC One camera has many options built right into it ~ there are filters you can use when taking the photo eliminating an after photo edit.
This is a pixelated photo of my pencil holder ~ I think everyone needs a picture like this!
And another cool effect (not sure of the name...I just play around and pick and choose for different results) of the same pencil holder.
The HTC One BlinkFeed™ screen offers Tips & Help ~ this is where I check out the videos that give easy to understand info and advice on making the most of this amazing camera.
There are also some FREE apps for photo editing that I am having some fun with ~
Hands down, this is my favorite photo editor and it's from Adobe. It works on both desktop and smartphone, and it's free.
I used Snapseed to edit this picture of my coffee this morning with some fresh zucchini bread ~ yes, I am annoying and take pictures of my food 😉
This is a collage made with Pixlr ~ I couldn't believe how easy it was to customize and save it~ AWESOME!
So there you have it ~ my photo heavy post sharing how much I am luvin' my new HTC One and all of its awesome photo capabilities.
Joy and creativity are a journey ~ don't ever keep yours to yourself....share it!
{ disclosure: As a member of a pretty cool team of influencers I received the HTC One from Verizon. No additional compensation was provided nor did I promise positive feedback. All opinions are my own.}
How fun for you Mary Beth!!
I really enjoyed your pics too!!
Hope your day is extraordinary!
Thank you for the recommendations - I too am and Android follower and have been looking for a good photo editing app! Thank you - Pixlr looks like just what I was looking for!
