Ad: Valentine's Day Luv Me Tenders with Fun Dipping Sauces
If you've been following me for any length of time you know that I love holidays. I enjoy any chance to celebrate and Valentine's Day is no exception to that rule. My husband and I try to have a romantic outing sometime around Valentine's Day and I like to make a Family Meal for my little cherubs {okay....my sometimes wild and crazy boys}.
Since the consensus is that Chicken Tenders are always a favorite I went ahead and picked up some Tyson Original Batter Dipped Tenders on my last trip to WalMart along with some easy {super easy} ingredients for 3 different dipping sauces.
I wanted it to be sort of like a Sundae Bar but with Chicken Tenders instead of ice cream ~ hey....don't laugh...the kids loved it!
📖 Recipe
Ingredients
Pineapple Sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 large can of crushed pineapple undrained
Cherry Mustard Sauce
- 8 ounces of Cherry Jelly
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
Special Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup sweet relish
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
For the Pineapple Sauce
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and corn starch. Stir in the soy sauce, garlic powder, ginger and pineapple. Cook and stir over low heat until thickened. Serve warm or chilled.
For the Cherry Mustard Sauce
Mix all of your ingredients and serve at room temperature or chilled.
Special Sauce
Combine all ingredients and serve at room temperature or chilled.
All sauces need to be refrigerated if there are any leftovers.

I was looking for the #LuvTyson Chicken Tenders in the frozen foods section and where the other Tyson products were but in my local store I found them in a separate section in a stand alone freezer between fresh meat and frozen foods. I'm here for you ~ the last thing I want is you wandering around the store in a frenzy trying to find these tasty treats {that's what I was doing while my poor husband was pushing the cart trying to keep up with me}. We have so much fun on my #CollectiveBias shopping trips!
When you go to buy yours use the Tyson Batter Dipped #ad coupon that you can find in the Sunday Morning Newspaper on 02/09/14 ~ I'm saving you money and telling you where to find them....we're like BFF's now! 🙂
I also served some red pop in my recycled painted glasses with cute straws.
I decorated the chalkboard wall with some Valentine's 'stuff' and then served up our Valentine's Day Family Meal.
Do you have any special meals that you for serve Valentine's Day?
AWESOME post! Great price and they look yummy! Love your sauces!! Nice V-Day meal for the kids! #client
Thanks so much, Kristin ~ the kids already want it all again!
That's an awesome idea! So glad you posted the recipes too. I have about 50 jars of homemade wild cherry and black cherry jam-I'm going to try using that in the recipe. So excited! Wish I would have looked at the post earlier in the day, then I could have thawed out some chicken breast to try it tonight, but I think I'll wait until the weekend. Keep those awesome ideas coming! Love them! Feel so blessed that God has put you and your inspirations in my life!
Mmmmm - I'll never outgrow chicken tenders! They look so good. I think I'll put in on my meal plan for next week. 🙂
What a great idea Mary Beth! Adorable!
