Intermittent Fasting for Weight Loss - Final Thoughts

This post is brought to you by our sponsor, “Always Eat After 7 PM”. The opinions expressed below are my own.

Over the course of the past month I have been sharing my thoughts and success with implementing intermittent fasting for weight loss into my daily life using the information found in the book, Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion which is now available to purchase.

In my first post, I covered the basics along with a video including tips from the author. In my second post I discussed a bit about the scientific data to support the effectiveness of intermittent fasting and highlighted a brief interview with the author, Joel Marion, and in the third post, I shared a few of my favorite recipes from the book.

Today, I want to share my final thoughts.

I have tried more diets than I can even remember....so....many....diets. UGH Many worked the first week or two but then, I would hit a weight loss wall and lose momentum.

When I lose momentum, my perspective shifts. I get discouraged and lose my mojo and usually go off the plan right then and there BUT, with this plan, I didn't hit the wall. I didn't lose momentum, and that is HUGE. I CAN DO THIS and seriously if I can do this, I think most anyone can.

Going 16 hours without food isn't that hard especially if I know on the other side, I do get to eat and I won't be HUNGRY.

“Intermittent fasting really shines when it comes to improving the hormones that directly affect your hunger, blood sugar, and metabolism. One is insulin. IF combats insulin resistance, meaning that it helps your body use insulin more normally, thereby lowering your diabetes risk and boosting your metabolism.”

Joel Marion

The different phases of the plan have worked wonderfully for me.

The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good

I have more weight to lose and so will be in the Main Phase for a while but that isn't a discouragement. The plan is easy to stick to and in the book there are delicious recipes that help to curb cravings and keep you full.

I had an accident a few weeks ago and moving around has been a bit of a challenge but even with that hindrance I have been able to lose weight easily.

If you tried the plan I would LOVE to hear your thoughts.
