Today I am sharing a project that I have had saved on a pinterest board from Mamie Jane's for a few years now (you can check out her post to see it as well).  It's a vintage industrial spool that she used for storage in her craft room.  I loved the idea so much that I finally had to make it.  It will fit my 'style' perfectly {I have no style but I liked it!}.

I bought a spool at my local antique store.....

and grabbed my huge mess of ribbons.

I drilled some holes in the spool and added cup hooks.

I bought some small rulers at the craft store......

and drilled holes in those as well as some clothespins.

I also cut up a yardstick I had that was cracked...perfect for this project.

When I had my holes drilled and my cup hooks placed I began to wrap my ribbon and lace around the rulers.

I added some doilies to the clothespins and I was set.

From start to finish this project took me 30 minutes and most of that time was spent wrapping the lace around the rulers. 😉

So what do you think? Is this something you'd like to make?
