I'm sharing an easy and inexpensive (cheap!) Dollar Store Craft with googly eyes. I have a thing for googly eyes. I happen to think they are the cat's meow 😉 They always make me chuckle and spiders make me scream so combining the two seemed like the way to go.

The Supplies

I purchased two large plastic spiders at the Dollar Tree. One black and one purple and decided they would be a happily married couple, Mr. and Mrs. Spider.

I also purchased two packages of googly eyes; one regular and one that looks like the eyes have false eyelashes and those, of course, would be for Mrs. Spider.

The only other item you need to make this craft is a low-temp glue gun and glue sticks.

How-To

I dumped out the googly eyes and separated them by size then started gluing.

I used the larger eyes for the body and the smaller eyes for the spider legs. The hot glue left the usual strings but in this case, it fit since it looked like spider webs so I left it intact. I took the pictures and then the part of me that cannot stand things like that pulled them all off, but either way, the spiders looked adorable!

This craft took about 5 minutes to make and cost $4.00 (not counting the cost of the glue).

I haven't decorated for Halloween yet but when I do, I can't wait to add this happy couple to my display.
