Sparkle and Glitter Halloween Decor
Halloween Decor - Sparkle, Shine and Glow
*This is a sponsored post on behalf of Balsam Hill. All opinions and statements are mine. I only work with companies and products that I use in my own home and life.Yay! I am so glad to have you here today as I share my Halloween Decor as part of the Bewitching Halloween Blog Hop with Balsam Hill.
I tend to go through phases with all of my decor - whether it be for holidays or for my home. This year, one of my displays is all about glitter, sparkle and glow. I took these pictures at twilight so you could appreciate the lights....that's when the magic begins.
One of the anchors of this display are two black, glittery, tabletop trees. I put one on each side of my display. These are battery-operated (I can move them anywhere!) and I will be moving them to my dining room table for Halloween Dinner - a cauldron of chili and some fun kid-friendly drinks.
I used several packages of black, inexpensive cheese cloth on my table and behind my display. I added some glitter pumpkins, one orange and one black atop of some old books. My sister just gave me these books a few months ago...I wasn't sure what I was going to do with them and then thought these vintage tomes were just what was needed here to add some height and character.
I used four Miracle Flame Votives which I prefer over real candles. These look amazing - the flame actually flickers, and they cast just the glow I wanted. The candles come plain in a pack of two. I added vinyl cutouts that I made with my Cricut (I'll have a post up tomorrow with the details on how to make these for yourself).
Next, I added two glitter globes. These are nice and heavy and when you flip them upside down and shake them, a flurry of black glitter and bats come trickling down.
This glitter globe has a crow in it sitting on top of books....um....it goes perfectly with my theme! It has a vintage flair to it and that inspired me to make a simple....oh so simple, owl picture for behind everything. (I'll have the how-to's for that in tomorrow's post as well). I grabbed a crow from my Halloween decor stash and added that to the display as well. I love when everything comes together!
Behind everything and woven through my wreath I added a simple Halloween garland.
You can put together a spooky but glittery Halloween display in no time with items from Balsam Hill and some from your "stash".
Items I Used in this Display from Balsam Hill:
Halloween Glitter Globes
Tabletop Halloween LED Tree

I don't decorate for Halloween, but I love the decor items from Balsam Hill. I've ordered a couple of times and delivery was so fast.
Thanks so much for sharing, Annette. 🙂
I decorate my porch and front yard for Halloween with pumpkins and ghosts and goblins.
I imagine it looks awesome! Thanks for sharing, Ellen
I like to decorate the mantle with cute Halloween decor. Nothing scary around my house! 🙂
Cute is always good!
Halloween is my favorite holiday. Every room in my home is decorated for Halloween (even the bathrooms and kitchen!) and we do a big set up on the outdoors with lights, tombstones, creepy cloth, spider webs, bones and fog. It brings my husband so much joy when neighbors stop and comment at how awesome the house is decorated, or on Halloween night when everyone rushes to go to our house. It is so much fun!
Oh my goodness, your decor sounds amazing!
I decorate for every Holiday the inside of the house and the outside. It's a tradition my mother use to always do it for me as as a child and now that I have my own baby's I decorate for them. It is a lot of fun adding new décor every yr. Love your decorations they look great!
Thanks so much for sharing your memories, Ali!
I decorate with Jack of lanterns and mums and a Halloween rug on my front porch.
I decorate with Jack of lanterns and mums and a Halloween rug on my front porch.
Sounds awesome!
I like to put scarecrows outside, and put a pumpkin centerpiece in my dining room.
Sounds like perfect autumn decor! I love scarecrows and you reminded me that I still need to put mine out.
I do more of a Fall decor rather than a Halloween decor with wreaths, mums, and printed decor pillows.
Your decor sounds lovely.
I like to decorate with things that will work for the whole fall season, like pumpkins, mums, etc. As well as anything my kiddos create. 🙂
Sounds lovely!
I usually only do a halloween scene on the front door and not our yard because I don't want to scare away the little ones
That's very thoughtful....the little ones are what makes the day so special!
I LOVE Halloween! Outside I have a cemetery with tombstones I made out of 2" foam, two entry columns made of wood with flame bowls on top, and an iron fence around the cemetery area. Then there is the witch who stirs her brew in a cauldron I made from a huge flower pot, on the flames I made out of foam and orange lights. I put a fog machine it the cauldron so it looks like something is cooking in there! then I made a shack out of old wood fence and put an old door that came from an old wash house my husband's grandmother had. I left an opening for a window in which I hang this ugly looking skeleton with black hair and flashing eyes. Out in front of the shack I set up a campfire area with a large iron pot on it where the scary guy I made cooks up his stew of ??? who knows what!
Inside the house I decorate it as a seance/fortune teller room with a crystal ball that glows, lots of old books, pictures, and candles scattered about. There are flicker lights in the lamps and I hang an old chandelier that I painted black and decorated with crystals that is above the seance table. We invite lots of guests who enjoy it every year. As I said, I love Halloween!
Wow!!! Your decor sounds absolutely amazing.
I love decorating for Halloween! Mostly, I use black and white with pops of orange. Nothing cutesy and nothing gory. Much like your display, actually... It's perfect!
Thank you so much, Beverly, and your decor sounds awesome!
Our family has always gone over-the-top for Halloween, but nothing bloody scary! We've done a vampire in a front porch swing/coffin to last year's "Dead and Breakfast" with the skelly receptionist. The whole family gets involved in the decorating fun. Love your site! Thank you muches for the giveaway!
Your decor sounds wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing.
My favorite Halloween memory is going to my grandparents for trick or treating and to carve pumpkins( to decorate the porch). We always had so much fun and got to spend spent quality time with them.
Those are wonderful memories. 🙂
I have more decorations for Halloween than any other holiday. Mostly vintage - lots of pumpkins.
I love vintage Halloween decor!
We always have fun constructing a graveyard in the front yard leading up to the porch on Halloween
Sounds spooky but awesome!
I love Halloween! I was always so excited to dress up and go Trick or Treating. This was in the 50's and 60's! So I love and collect vintage Halloween decorations. The older the better! Nothing too scary. I grew up on Charlie Brown - It's the Great Pumpkin 🙂 I decorate inside and out. Love colored lights. Nothing like the smell of a fresh pumpkin while carving it into a jack-o-lantern. Oh what fun!
Thanks so much for sharing your fun memories, Cat!
WOW! Your display looks great! I don't decorate for Halloween, but I do decorate my mantel for fall: a fall floral arrangement I made to go in an antique pitcher, a few baby white pumpkins, a berry garland and some pine cones. Enough fall to make me happy!
Your fall display sounds lovely!
I never had a Halloween party when I was young, but I envied the gang in the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, who had one. When I had kids of my own, I started a tradition of throwing the Halloween party of my dreams for my own kids and the neighborhood kids. They are all in college now, and they still remember bobbing for apples and the old- fashioned games.?
Oh my gosh....that sounds like so much fun and such wonderful memories! Thanks for sharing 🙂
These Halloween decorations are fabulous! I usually only do Christmas but I'm loving how awesome this looks!
My favorite Halloween memory is a neighbor making my siblings and I sing, "Row row your boat," before we'd be allowed to have our candy. I guess we'd do anything for candy! LOL msmissy02 at gmail dot com
Thanks for sharing such a fun memory, Melissa!
i love decorating for the fall, I don't really like spooky decor, but I love cute pumpkins and halloween things!
I love cute pumpkins, too!
When the kids were little they dressed as Harry Potter and Ron; neighbors asked for their autographs and they were thrilled. Pumpkins, grave stones and spider webs.
Sounds awesome and I'll bet your kids looked amazing!
My favorite Halloween memories are from when the kids were little. I used to make all their costumes - they came up with some wild ideas!
Memories like that are golden! Thanks for sharing, Vera.
We love to decorate with décor we have accumulated over the years. Mostly skeletons, bats, spider webs and lights. Thanks for the amazing giveaway 🙂

Your decor sounds awesome!
I LOVE to decorate for Halloween! My husband loves it too. This year we are renovating a new house so no decorations other than a few things (Halloween and skeleton banners, eyeballs on the doors, spiders and caution tape on the porch). We usually go big for Halloween both inside and out!
A new house....how exciting! I'll bet the decor next year when you're done will be awesome.
I really love decorating our kitchen for Halloween. My kids get excited when I start putting out the Halloween decor!
Awwww....there is nothing better than making kids happy!
I have been very lucky for the past 15 years, my dearest friend, a single mother and her imaginative teen daughter have invited me over every halloween to carve 3 pumpkins that we place in strategic places outside the house
What a wonderful memory - thanks so much for sharing, Ronald, and have a wonderful Halloween!
Love the glitter globes
I love those, too! 🙂
You did a great job decorating for Halloween! For my fall/Halloween decor I bring out my velvet pumpkins and scatter them among the Mercury glass pumpkins. I used mostly white pumpkins this year. Also I drape an orange check cloth over my burlap runner.
Your decor sounds lovely, Pat!
All of that looks so good. I like to decorate my front door and my mantle.. cute halloween stuff of course. I like flowers at the door, Fall flowers with some Halloween signs and I like to decorate my mantle with different Halloween piece decor!
Sounds wonderful!
