Sausage, Egg and Cheese Breakfast Casserole. Perfect for Sunday Breakfast or dinner any night of the week. Hearty, quick, delicious and gluten free

Do you love a good hearty breakfast or even breakfast for dinner?  My family and I certainly do.  If I'm in a pinch for what to serve for dinner I oftentimes pull out the eggs and check the refrigerator for what else I have and then make a casserole.  I bought some Italian sausage a bit ago and found this recipe on the package.  It sounded delicious so I thought I'd give it a try.  My family and I loved it.  It's one of those recipes that I knew I would make again so I clipped out the recipe and put it on the refrigerator....and then I took some pictures of it so I could share.

Ingredients:

6 links Italian Sausage

1 large package frozen country style hash browns {I found mine in the refrigerator section at the grocery store}

8 eggs

½ chopped onions

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream

Salt & Pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350°.  Remove casing from sausage and brown.  Drain off any excess fat.  Add onions and continue cooking until tender.  Set aside.  Combine eggs, whipping cream, salt and pepper in a large bowl and wisk together.  Set aside.  Place enter package of frozen has brown potatoes on bottom of a large rectangle greased casserole dish.  Add sausage on top of potatoes then top with cheese; next add egg mixture.  Bake in 350° oven for about 45 minutes or until eggs are set.
